Roslyn Rose studied art at Rutgers Un., Pratt Inst., and Skidmore College (B.Sc.) Her art work is in museum and corporation collections including the Newark Museum of Art, Voorhees-Zimmerli Museum at Rutgers, and the McAllen International Museum in Texas. Recent solo shows include Ceres Gallery NYC (2010 and 2008); Hoboken (NJ) Historical Museum (2006); Symposia, Hoboken, NJ (2005); and New Century Artists Gallery, NYC (2003). Participation in 2008 group shows include Washington Gallery of Photography, Bethesda, MD; Ceres Gallery National Juried Show, NYC; and Viridian Artists’ Gallery, NYC., Longview Museum, TX; DeVos Museum, Northern Michigan Un.; Santa Cruz Art League, CA; and Las Vegas Arts Council, NM.
Awards include Best-in-Show at the Mountain Art Show, Bernardsville, NJ; Computer Art and Photography Awards at National Association of Women Artists Exhibitions; and The Directors’ Award at the Period Gallery, Omaha, NE. She recently received the Best-in-Show award at the International Society of Experimental Artists 17th Annual Exhibition. The Hoboken Historical Museum will host Ms. Rose's solo show, "Hoboken from Afar" in October 2011.
